To Wash, simply soak in hot soapy water then rinse and hang or lay flat to dry. For masks with pleats like the "Contoured Pleated Mask" you can lay them flat to dry with their pleats in place (position pleats with your hands), and that will eliminate the need for ironing the pleats. Hand Wash Only, lay flat to dry, do not iron. The heat from an iron will damage the earloops and straps as well as any polypropylene filters.

We use 100% spun bonded polypropylene for our "Perfect Fit Polypropylene Filters" and the middle layer of our "3 Layer Masks with Middle Polypropylene Layer". Polypropylene will melt if exposed to excessive heat. It should be hand washed in hot (not excessively) soapy tap water and laid flat or hung to dry. The dryer and iron must be avoided since they will melt the polypropylene.

The Communication Mask and Fully Visible Mask sit away from the mouth, allowing the breath to funnel around and out a very small ventilation gap. The Communication Mask has a very small gap at the bottom but sits very close to but not touching the neck.  The Fully Visible vents at the sides facing back towards the ears.

Simply soak  in hot soapy water using regular laundry detergent, then rinse with water and hang to dry.

Any masks with plastic must NOT be washed in a washing machine or dried in a dryer.  The washing machine would damage the plastic by folding, and the heat of the dryer would melt the plastic.

The heat of the dryer or extremely hot water should be avoided even for the all cloth masks because there is lycra in the content of the earloops and head straps and lycra can be gradually broken down by heat.  The use of a hot iron would instantly damage the earloops and straps fabric.

If left untreated, the plastic window will fog up, but treating them is very simple and effective.  There are many methods for preventing the fog.  Some people use store purchased anti-fog sprays, some use shampoo, some use dish soap.  All of these work by simply rubbing a small amount on to coat the inside surface, then wiping off with a dry microfiber cloth.  Our favorite method is a chemical free spray made by mixing 1 part "Pure Castile Soap" with 1 part water in a spray bottle.  Spray it on to coat.  Let sit for a minute, then wipe off with a dry microfiber cloth.

No, the plastic will not "suck in" or move when you breathe or speak. The plastic sits away from the mouth and maintains it's shape.

All of our masks are manufactured in Strathroy, Ontario, Canada, just west of London, Ontario

The Communication Mask and Fully Visible Mask are made to last through many wears and washings.  If treated respectfully, taking care not to step on, sit on, crumple or crush the plastic, they will not get damaged with crease lines. The plastic is tough and will not snap or break, but it can take crease lines that can result in a loss of visual clarity through the window. The plastic can get damaged if it is stepped on, sat on, or crumpled.  Intense heat must also be avoided since plastic will melt if overheated. Hot tap water for handwashing is okay, but the heat of a dryer will cause damage.
